Terms & Conditions
Terms governing vehicle servicing, repairs and related automotive work carried out by VICPros AutoCentre.
This information is provided for transparency and does not replace your statutory rights. Please contact us if you need clarification about how a term applies to your vehicle or booking.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to services supplied by VICPROS LTD trading as VICPros AutoCentre (“VICPros”, “we”, “us” or “our”), The Garage, High Street, Riseley, Bedfordshire, MK44 1DR. They should be read alongside any written estimate, job card, service-plan terms or other terms agreed for a particular job.
By instructing us to carry out work, you agree to the terms that apply to that work. Nothing in these terms affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of England and Wales.
2. Services
We provide vehicle repairs, servicing, diagnostics, MOT testing or preparation, tyre fitting and related automotive services for a range of vehicles, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles. Any MOT test will be carried out by an authorised MOT testing facility as applicable.
We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
3. Estimates and pricing
- Unless expressly stated otherwise, a quotation is based on the information available at the time and may need to be revised if further faults or necessary work are identified.
- We will explain any material change in scope or price and obtain your approval before carrying out additional chargeable work.
- Parts availability, supplier pricing and vehicle-specific requirements may affect the final price. Any applicable VAT will be identified in the estimate or invoice.
4. Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate information about the vehicle and reported symptoms, disclose relevant known issues, remove valuables and personal belongings where possible, and arrange collection within a reasonable time after we notify them that the vehicle is ready.
We cannot accept responsibility for personal items left in a vehicle except where liability arises under applicable law or from our negligence.
5. Repairs and diagnosis
Some faults cannot be confirmed until inspection, testing, dismantling or further diagnosis has taken place. We will explain the proposed diagnostic work and charges before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
Diagnostic charges cover the time and work involved in testing and investigation; they are not automatically refundable merely because a fault is not found. This does not affect any refund or other remedy required by law where a service has not been supplied with reasonable care and skill or other statutory rights apply.
We are not responsible for unrelated or pre-existing faults that are not caused by our work, subject always to our legal obligations.
6. Payment terms
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due when the work is completed and the vehicle is ready for collection. We accept payment methods stated at the garage or on the invoice, which may include cash, card or bank transfer.
Where payment remains outstanding, we may exercise any lawful rights available to us, including a lawful lien where applicable. We will not restrict a customer’s rights contrary to law.
7. Liability
We are not responsible for indirect losses that we could not reasonably foresee, or for loss arising from faults that are unrelated to the work we carried out, except where the law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Consumer statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Parts and removed components
Unless agreed otherwise, parts supplied may be original-equipment, manufacturer-approved or suitable aftermarket parts, as appropriate for the job and as described in the estimate. We will discuss material choices with you where relevant.
Parts supplied by us remain our property until paid for in full, to the extent permitted by law. Removed parts may be disposed of or returned to the supplier unless you ask us to retain them before the work begins; some parts may need to be returned for warranty or exchange purposes.
9. Complaints and warranties
If you have a concern about work, please contact us promptly so we can investigate and, where appropriate, inspect the vehicle. Any specific parts or labour warranty will be explained in the relevant invoice, warranty terms or service-plan documents. This does not restrict your statutory rights.
Our Customer Complaints Policy is available through the website footer. VICPros AutoCentre is a member of The Motor Ombudsman and accredited under its CTSI-approved Code of Practice for Vehicle Servicing and Repair (Accreditation No. #437683).
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
